LEAD222 was founded on the biblical mandate of 2 Timothy 2:2, which is to disciple reliable leaders who will teach others. We are dedicated to building a community of student ministry leaders that sharpen one another in personal character and professional skills.

Our Vision is to change youth ministry culture to live out the call of mentoring as described in 2 Timothy 2:2 – this will be accomplished by dedicated and discerning men and women such as yourself modeling a lifestyle of mentoring and coaching to youth leaders and students around the world.

 

 

The following will help you decide if becoming a Coach for LEAD222 is the correct choice for you.

Qualifications:

• *Are a committed follower of Christ
  *One year experience as a previous member of LEAD222 or prior approval from the Coaching Director
• *Have a passion for training middle school and high school students and youth ministry leaders around the country
  *Have at least five years of proven ministry experience and effectiveness in leading a youth ministry
  *Have a good reputation among ministry peers and a strong desire to build intentional relationships with other youth leaders around the world
  *Have lived out the value of mentoring in you personal life and in the lives of others
  *Have a “team players” attitude and a strong passion for being a part of the vision for LEAD222
  *Full agreement with LEAD222 doctrinal beliefs

Time Commitment:

* You can count on  a minimum time commitment for personally Coaching one member to be around two hours a month
*Attend our annual Coaches’ Corner training session, consisting of three days once a year in August in Chicago, IL. Travel expense and transportation to the training session is the coaches’ responsibility. Once onsite, LEAD222 will cover all expenses.
*Be open to coach one or two members and invite other youth leaders from your circle of influence to become members of LEAD222
*Set up a regularly scheduled one-on-one 60 minute coaching call with your member each month, September – May (9 total calls)
*Additional periodic contacts by e-mail, texting, facebook, or another brief phone call during the month. These contacts are to “check-in” to see how things are going as well as follow up on any assignments discussed during the monthly one-on-one call
*Note: An additional time commitment for Coaches involved in coaching members who have selected the Full Coaching option will include an onsite Site Visit to the members’ ministry (Site Visits are typically a 36-48 hour time commitment and LEAD222 will cover your expenses)
